Re: [orca-list] SWT / ComboViewer Issue

Ccombo in particular will not work.
I have written some apps with swt and discovered that if the combo is set as read only then we get accessibility.
Alt + down arrow works and list is presented.
happy hacking.

Hi All,

if using a ComboViewer or a CCombo of SWT / JFace there is a text
widget with a button assigned to it. If you stat typing into the text
widget the related items of the combo are selected. By using this way
it will write the element into the text widget if using the arrow keys
to select entries. I was a bit confused when someone told me they use
the button beside it to get the list if they are using the mouse :-)
This would present the whole list. We just tried some common shortcuts
but where not able to find a way to activate this button via the
keyboard.

- Ctrl + space would invoke a content assist (if any is present)
- tab will not put the focus to this button
- Ctrl + Enter doesn't work either
- and enter is connected to the default button which is "OK" in most situations

Furthermore there is this issue @Michael Zegan described yesterday:
the first fiew items are spoken but not all. If someone clicked on the
button for me i was able to read all items of the list.

Any suggestions on this?

Thanks
- Jann
