To read the content in a terminal use the flat review keys. I don't use
braille so I cannot be at help for that.

Hi all:
I've just installed Ubuntu on my laptop.
I killed off Windows and Ubuntu is now the only OS on my laptop.
I'm happy to report that Gmail web interface seems to work.
In fact I'm composing this message on Ubuntu using Orca and Firefox.
However, to the point hehe.
* How do I read output in the terminal?
Orca reads output of commands but how to review the contents of the terminal?
* I cannot get my HumanWare Brailliant BI 40 to output Braille.
Brltty starts but I only see the text 'brltty 5.2' on the display.
Braille output is enabled in Orca.
Thanks,
-Øyvind
