Re: [orca-list] Bugs in "firefox"

Hey Max.

Ok, could you please send me a debug.out captured when you have
restarted everything? Your previous debug.out has all the duplicate
events. And that is something I've fixed locally. If you're seeing
something different, I might not have that fixed yet. And I might be
able to do a simple fix in Orca.

Hi, Joanye!

Unfortunately, there is a problem in all these cases.
There is only one situation that I could not check. If you start at the
beginning of "firefox", and then "orca", the "firefox" window for "orca"
is not fully available, ie "Orca" in the window "firefox" is silent.

Hey Max, all.

Ok, I think I can reproduce what you're seeing. Could you please try
something for me: Quit Orca and Firefox. Then launch both. Try to
reproduce the problem without quitting or restarting either Orca or
Firefox. Does the problem still happen?

If not, then what you're seeing is a side effect of
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1204171

Otherwise, I need to figure out how to reproduce it.

But if that bug is what you're experiencing, then the good news is that
I have come up with a means (still in progress) to work around it. The
bad news is that it's a pretty significant change -- one I am hesitant
to commit this close to the GNOME 3.20 release because of concerns about
regressions. However, once I branch for the stable release, I can commit
the change to Orca. And once Mozilla fixes their bug, users of stable
Orca will see the problem go away.

And further.

In learning mode, which is caused by a combination of keys "orca + h",
with the key "alt", I can open and close the "firefox" menu. Those.
"Orca" no catches "alt".

Hey Max.

I'll take a look. Thanks for the report!

I found one more problem. For reproducing the situation, perform
the
following steps (I use a keyboard layout "orca", Laptop):

1. Open the "firefox", any web page;

2. Set the focus on any link;

3. Hold the "capslock", double-click "enter", to get a detailed
information.

"Orca" is announcing details; However, at the same time - the
link on
which the focus is activated.
Ie the link is activated, as if I click on "enter".
