Re: [orca-list] orca cannot play multiple progress bar beeps at once

hi

I mean that orca is tracking all progress bars, not just ones that pertain to the currently focused app.

Thanks

Hey K,
By progressbar updates set to all do you mean they are set to talk and beep, or do you mean all progressbars
are sending update data to the user, i.e. not
just when an application has focus. I mean to say that progressbars setting is the most liberal available
which is the option that is called all. I'm
almost sure the latter is what you mean. I just opened orca prefs and saw the wording, was not sure before
that.
Sorry is this is a silly question, but just wanted to be 100% sure.
Does this not happen if an application has more than one progress bar updating and progressbar updates are set to
"application", or window?
I'm not trying to pick nits, just want to understand the issue and whether or not it might effect me, and
others of course under different configurations,
and if there is a potential work around for some people.

hi all
This is an odd bug and I just now noticed it. If you have progress bar
updates set to all, which I'm guessing not many people do, orca can only
play one progress bar beep at a time. If one beep is playing and a
second one comes in, orca will cut the first beep short and play the
second one. I'm not absolutely positive this is an orca but, it might be
gstreamer, but figured I'd report it before I forgot. This is with orca
master, completely up to date and sonar linux 64 bit, version 16.07.
Thanks
