Had brailleblaster been written in monobasic under Linux the cil files
it outputs could have been run on Windows just as well as on Linux. I
don't know if mac can run cil files with anything though.

hi
That was my jerk reaction as well, but since I'm trying my best not to
assume everything comes back to windows, I want to give the developers a
chance instead of going into "why isn't linux popular" mode. It could
just be a case of whoever kept the linux version up to date left the
project or forgot or something. If it is a case of the linux version
just being unmaintained it can be brought up to date if someone will do
it. If nothing else, I could probably check out their code repository
assuming they have one and build brailleblaster from that. I want to put
it in sonar eventually, preferably in time for the next stable release.
Which will mean packaging liblouis utdml, but I was already going to do
that. Once that's done I'm going to try to generate an ubuntu package to
send to the vinux folks, I meant it when I said I was turning over a new
leaf and want to work downstream with other distros other than my own.
Thanks

I guess its what happened with rs-games. More people use Windows and
Mac, so even though it costs much more to develop for those systems,
they do it anyways. Crazy.

hi
That reminds me. This is very much off topic hear so I'll change teh
subject. What ever happened with brailleBlaster? I kept my eye on it,
but it seems like the linux version fell further and further behind
while the windows and mac version was kept updated. This would be a
fantastic thing to put in a disability focused distro like sonar or
vinux, but I can't seem to find anything up to date. I can find some
older bb 1.x tarballs, but nothing newer for linux. There's a windows
installer and an OSX disk image, but those won't work for linux.
Thanks

liblouis is a translator and back-translator. liblouisutdml does
formatting and renders xml and html files. It can use liblouis for
back-translation and also produce a fairly well-formatted version of
text files.

It'll be in sonar, no worries. I may have to have someone write a
pkgbuild
for it, and then I can put it into sonar. That's the part of
liblouis that
does bac translation I think, and I wonder why it's not in liblouis
itself?
Thanks

n there at all and no search engine I have used has found an existing

want.
Glad to help.
