Re: [orca-list] Any chance we might get the ability to toggle debug mode?

Hey Nolan.

You can specify the location already using orca-customizations.py

That could work. Any chance the file could go to either /tmp or
somewhere in ~/.local/cache as to not clutter up ~?

Thanks!

Hey Nolan.

Orca already has an unbound command to change the debugging level. So
what about doing the following: Have Orca always create a debug file.
This file will normally be largely (if not entirely) empty and should
not impact performance. When something odd is happening, use the command
to cycle to debug level all?

Unfortunately, restarting Orca often makes the problem go away, so
restarting in debug mode isn't workable.

I think it would be far better if I could toggle debug mode on,
replicate the problem, then immediately toggle it off. It would also
make for shorter logs, too. I filed that as an issue a while back but
haven't seen anything done on it.

Anyhow, I know folks are busy, it just seems like this would be hugely
helpful in providing debug logs for issues. Any chance something like
this might be incorporated into Orca?

Thanks!
