Hi all,
Yesterday, someone gave me instrucksions on
how to restore orca if no speech is present. I am still
getting no speech after doiong this.
To refresh, Ik had done an upgrade of the
orca by adding the accessibility dev repository. After doing
this how ever, I lost all speech after restarting the
machine. I then done the following, killall -9 orca
speech-dispatcher. I then typed orca –replace and still
nothing. I did this both in the run box and in the terminal.
Did I mis type something or am I having a bigger problem? I
am considering just installing again and leaving the factory
version of orca as it is, but do not really want to do that if
I can help it. Thanks.
