Re: [orca-list] bug regarding punctuation?

I think that if it is going to say the punctuation i.e. if its in the
all or some or whatever, it should do the repeat shorthand and be
consistent.

Hey José.

I'm pretty sure it's by design. But if everyone thinks the design is
wrong, I can make that change. Let's see what others think.

Hi all.
I am not sure if this is a bug or is by design.

To reproduce try the following steps:
1. Launch gedit.
2. Make sure that the Punctuation Level is set to all.
3. Type the following text, without the quotations:
'This is a test.......'
4. Read the text using up/down arrow.
Result:
Orca reads this is a test 7 dot characters.
5. change the Punctuation Level value to a value other than all.
6. Read the text using up/down arrow.
Result:
Orca reads this is a test.......

My question:
The results in step 4 and step 6 shouldn't b the same?
Thanks.
