I'd start by looking on the gnome wiki. There's an accessibility
category that has a lot of detail, but it mostly makes sense to a
developer. I'll get you a link. Ah, here we go.

need any more help, we'll be glad to help you here. I'm no expert in
accessibility, but from what I've seen, you usually don't have to do
anything special to make your application accessible if you use the
gtk or qt toolkits. The exception is if you use widgets that don't
come with gtk itself, IE custom widgets. In that case, you need to
give them a proper label and set the proper relation. All of this is a
little over my head, so I don't really know much more than this.
