What do you do if you have to use the non-free stuff?

I can confirm that linphone works in Debian and derivatives; I use it in command line mode. There is also
ekiga soft phone. Pidgin has support for xmpp audio and video chat, though, I've been told my video is of
dubious quality. Maybe it's time for a Sonar podcast on telephony without non-free options?
Cheers,

Some examples of SIP applications that work with Orca include
Linphone, currently broken on Arch, but likely working in Ubuntu and
Fedora, and SFLPhone, which is available from the Arch User
Repository, so should be available in Fedora, either from the official
repositories or from RPMFusion.
