Re: [orca-list] the infamous qt menu issue is back

Hi Kendell, all.

This should be fixed in master. I cannot commit the fix to the
gnome-3-16 branch until after code freeze lifts.

Hi I've just filed the bug. The URL is at,
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=746400. I haven't
attached the debug files just yet, doing that now. Sometimes if
I try to file a bug and attach files in one step gnome can get
confused and I have to refile the bug Thanks Kendell clark Sent

hi ok, will do. Filing the bug now. Do I add you to the cc list
manually or does it automatically add you as one of the "orca

Hi Kendell.

Yes, 'git checkout gnome-3-16'. And the reason I ask is that
I've begun some more refactoring that will only go into the
master branch. Thus going forward, knowing if a regression
is only in master will be extremely helpful.

Thanks again! --joanie

hi Sure, will do. How do I switch to the gnome 3.16
branch? Is it git checkout gnome-3-16? I've got a debug log
from master, but I'll generate one from 3.14.3 Thanks

Hi Kendell.

Could you also test with the gnome-3-16 branch? And if
you open a bug against Orca with two debug.out logs: One
from 3.14.3 and one from master, that would be helpful.
Thanks!

hi all I've noticed that in latest orca master as of
ten minutes ago, orca is no longer able to present
menus of qt4 applications. This may also extend to qt5
as well, I'm not completely sure. Every other part of
the application reads, dialogs, the main area, buttons,
check boxes, etc but not the menus. Tested on mumble
1.2.8 and vlc media player 2.2.0. I'm on fedora
GNU/Linux 21 with latest updates. When I re-installed
orca v3.14.3 the problem immediately went away. I can
provide a debug log if needed. Thanks Kendell clark
