I'm thinking more and more that shoutit.ga has a corrupt database or
something. I upgraded it before I realized that my server wasn't
running php 5.5 or better, and then tried to move the possibly already
corrupt database back after an upgrade to Debian Jessie on that server.
Sadly, even Mikhael, who I believe to be the lead developer, or at
least a very helpful developer who pushes most of the commits, can't
figure out what is wrong. I hate to have to reinstall and clear the
database, but that may be what I have to do. I intend going forward to
have a reliable GNU Social instance at shoutit.ga that anyone can use.
