I'll address your comments inline, that is, below what you have originally written.

Firstly, Vinux 4.0 is rather out of date at the time of writing. Vinux 4.0 is based on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, 
which was released in 2012. Unfortunately it is not so easy to update Orca and other accessibility related 
software in Vinux 4.0

In the coming months, Vinux 5.0 will be released, based on Ubuntu 14.04. Fortunately, at the time of writing, 
it is much less of a problem to update Orca and some other accessibility software, so with the release of 
Vinux 5, you will have the latest stable version of Orca. Unfortunately, magnification is another story.

With newer versions of Orca however, the way magnification is used has changed. For a start, Orca no longer 
concerns itself with magnification. The best magnification currently available to the user is in the GNOME 
shell. GNOME is the name of the underlying desktop technologies used in GNOME. Unfortunately, the versions of 
some GNOME technologies used in Vinux 5 are not the latest versions, and unlike other parts of the 
accessibility ecosystem, are not nearly as easy to update.

Vinux 5 will ship with Ubuntu's unity interface enabled by default, but it will be possible to change to the 
GNOME shell, where some magnification is available, all be it, a couple of releases behind the latest release 
of the GNOME desktop environment.

The good news is even with the older version of GNOME in Vinux 5, once you enable magnification, it will 
remain enabled, even once you log out of your system and log in again.
