The disadvantage in subscribing RSS feeds in Firefox bookmarks is that
it's not so easy to organize, to store and to keep elder news. But it
works and you are right, it can be useful.

Sorry to have accidentally deleted the top of this thread before
replying. I use the firefox bookmarks library to read rss feeds. Point
firefox at a feed, and you will be told it is " a feede of frequently
changing content"..., with the option to subscribe. Choose to subscribe
using "live bookmarks", and choose which folder. Each subscribed feed
will now appear as a sub-menu of the bookmarks menus.
Finally, all this Mozilla stuff may work better when you upgrade orca to
3.12 or better.
