OK,
I updated to latest nightly, and all the same issues are there, no
reporting of a message being sent or other notifications either. The
menus read fine, my new mail sound plays, and I can mostly read messages
although there's some iregular behavior in html bodies perhaps, but not
really checked to make sure that was not a one off.
Anyway, thunderbird 36 looks like it will be a total bust if they do not
get on the ball.
This is being coposed from a copy of a nightly build of thunderbird 35 I
had fortuantely.

I do not know if this is directly on topic in the sense that there is anything being worked on that should
require changes Orca side or not. I've not
had trouble that I know of with the nightly builds recently, but honestly do not put them through their paces
as I do most of my email tasks from mutt.
Anyway, I just tried to reply to a message and it was a mess. Nothing seemed to be in any of the fields other
than from. The subject seemed empty, and
nothing was echoed by orca when I typed in to the message body, nothing was quoted as it should be configured
to do, and the write window remained on
screen with no feedback after the message was actually sent. It would only close when I said to not save a
draft using alt f4.
Again, this is probably just a one off badly broken build, but can anyone else confirm this?
I installed yesterday.
Version : 36.0a1.20141118-1
To be a bit more clear, the replies were sent after I filled in an address but the msg bodies remained empty
of all content.
