Re: [orca-list] a pretty severe bug in firefox

Hey all.

This is either a broken Gecko table hierarchy and/or a pyatspi bug.
Regardless, I have worked around it in Orca. Fix committed to both
master and the gnome-3-14 branch.

Thanks for the report!

hi all I've just recently noticed a pretty severe bug in firefox.
It doesn't lock up orca, but it does make it unable to use it.
First of all, I'm on firefox 33.0.2. Try going to about:config in
the address bar. Click on the I'll be careful, I promise! button.
What should happen is orca should speak loading, please wait,
followed by entry for the search field. Only orca says nothing, and
in fact will not speak anything, in firefox or outside it, until
firefox is closed with alt+f4. If this happens, orca comes back
immediately. I have no idea if this is an orca bug or firefox, but
I suspect firefox. I've just recently installed a firefox addon to
integrate it with gnome keyring and was trying to see how to set i
t up when I came across this. Can anyone else confirm this? Thanks
