Re: [orca-list] Fluxbox with Orca

Hi,
For those using the light weight stuff, you have probably noticed their run dialogs, usually bound to alt+f2,
aren't accessible with Orca. In the case of ratpoison, it's c-t !. Anyway, I wrote a small zenity script that
is accessible of course to replace the run dialog. It will keep a history of your last 50 commands and you
can move up and down through the list and select whatever you want. If you know what you want isn't in the
list, just press enter on the first item, type what you want, then tab to open and press enter. If the item
you are trying to launch isn't a program, it will open caja in your home directory. I know, that part needs a
bit of work. If you're interested, it's at
http://stormdragon.us/priv/zrun
I'm guessing there will be bugs, but it works pretty well so far from what I can tell. I bound it to c-t r in
rat poison and use it all the time.

Just a little update:
I set up a keyboard shortcut to run caja, (the mate fork of nautilus for those not familiar with mate), and
after closing
the window the desktop icons stick.
If anyone could try nautilus filemanager with fluxbox to be sure this is also the case there it would be
interesting.
Fluxbox is working great now that I put the export lines where they needed to be. This is indeed the rockin
answer for
those who need or want a truly very small footprint solution to graphical interfaceing.

reminding me. Unfortunately, I didn't find anything obvious in there. I did discover that firefox isn't necessary
after all, a small zenity script does the same thing, and the accessibility stays after the dialog is closed. I'm
almost wondering if I just didn't wait long enough for stuff to open yesterday, maybe I'll try without the dialog
next time.
