Re: [orca-list] Sonar is I686

Your issue is not being caused by the fact that the 32-bit version is
for i686, as that should only be affecting computers made prior to 2000,
386, 486 and first-generation Pentium class machines built in the mid
1990's specifically. It is more likely being caused by the software that
is writing the iso to your USB drive. Your best bet is to use dd or
something similar to write the iso directly to your drive. The Sonar iso
is what is known as a hybrid, which means that it will boot if written
directly to a usb drive or burned to a DVD, without needing any special
software other than dd or a raw write utility to write it on a USB
drive. Using other utilities that are designed to make non-hybrid iso
files bootable on flash or hard disk media will likely cause problems
with hybrid isos such as the TalkingArch and Sonar isos. If you have
anything that can write directly to the device, try using that, and the
machine should boot normally. The dd utility that comes with most Linux
and Unix-like distributions is perfect for this. Hope this helps.
