Re: [orca-list] inquiry about sonar 2014.1

you should be able to install network-manager-applet with pacman -S
network-manager-applet. After that an applet will appear on your
panel, with a list of networks. To get to your panel, press
control+alt+tab. Orca should land on the bottom panel. There is an
actual sonar mate edition coming, if I can get anyone to upload it, I
cannot. It contains a couple of fixes the the gnome sonar doesn't. It
contains a panel layout file that contains only one panel, a bottom
one, instead of two, a top and a bottom. It's eitehr a mate or an orca
issue, but mate can't cycle between two panels, so I created a layout
file that puts all tue stuff on one panel. It also contains some orca
scripts, so that the alt tab switcher, and the workspace switcher will
speak, this is being fixed in orca, but it's only available in the git
version, which isn't on sonar images.
Thanks

Hi,

I installed the mate desktop with "pacman -S mate mate-extra" to
Sonar 2014.1 x86_64 and orca is operating well, too. How can I
connect wifi while the mate is working?

If possible I'd like to install the indicator-applet-complete
package as well, so that I could see the menu with the system
settings, network connection, volume control, and shut down in one
place from left to right, after pressing super+s.

How can I install the qt-at-spi 32 bit package to the 64 bit
system? This qt-at-spi 32 bit package has been installed already
but orca isn't able to read the skype window.

Thanks in advance,

Norbert
