Re: [orca-list] sonar terminal question

Yes, the more I learn about orca, the more I'm impressed with both our fearless leader, and the way she
responds to those
who contribute in what ever way to the project.
Thanks,
B.H.

Orca should work just fine in a terminal. It has weird issues
sometimes, like not announcing the first line of text at the top of
the terminal and skipping entire lines of text. But they're not
frequent, and they odn't happen all the time.

GNOME still haven't accepted, or improved upon, the patch I submitted to
correct some of this by fixing an accessibility bug in GNOME-Terminal. It's
very frustrating to have a patch ignored for release after release, and
disappointing that the project isn't sufficiently well managed to take care of
it in a professional manner.

We're really fortunate that Orca is so well maintained and that bugs are
responded to so promptly. Regrettably, there are other projects (including
within GNOME) where this isn't the norm.
