Thanks Joanie. While we're at it thanks to all of you who put the orca
debugging infrastructure together. I think it means those of us who
are experienced with code but not with *this* code can make
a contribution, even if only with lucid bug reports.
cheers

Presumably this is fixed by getting "object replacement character"

That won't solve the "finding comments" problem; that will merely cause
Orca to say "object replacement character" when you arrow to it instead
of saying nothing. Mind you, I fully agree that saying nothing is bad.
So.... Orca master will now say that string instead of nothing in cases
where the application fails to fully implement support for
replaced/embedded objects. In addition, I filed two bugs against
LibreOffice:
1. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77679
"Accessibility support for replaced objects is incomplete"
2. https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=77682
"LibreOffice comments should have ATK_ROLE_COMMENT"
Thanks for the report!
