Hey Rob.

I was not able to reproduce the problem you describe. But in trying, I
found a couple of different issues which I fixed in master. I won't
commit the changes to the 3.12 branch until those changes have been
properly tested. So.... If you could test to see if I lucked out and
also fixed your issue in the process that, would be great. <smiles> And
if you notice a regression resulting from that change, please let me know.
