I'm using debian squeeze with the orca package that comes with squeeze.
It's okay but I have a few problems.
1. Sometimes when I fire up an app, orca does not speak, If I fire up
the app through a terminal window, I can see it is giving an error
message that bonobo must be initialized before reuse. I can make orca
work with the app again by pressing Alt+F2 to open a run window and
typing "orca --replace". This ahppens with many apps including
thunderbird, firefox, and gedit.
2. Sometimes orca does not read the names of the apps I'm rotating
through while pressing alt+tab. So if I have like four apps running at
once and want to switch to another one, I kind of have to guess how many
times to press alt+tab. The "orca --replace" trick does not fix this
problem.
