You shouldn't have to press anything for orca to start talking. It is
set to automatically talk without pressing anything. The hot key is set
in case there is someone using Sonar that doesn't need a screen reader.
But like I said orca should be running by default on your system. Does
orca start after you press the control alt and letter o?

Hello Jonathan!
Another question, which isn't that obvious. when my Sonar now comes
up - thanks for that! - it doesn't talk automatically. I read on the
project website, that I could press ctrl + alt + o to start Orca. But
is that really necessary? Or is there a way to directly start the
system in a talking mood. I'm not complaining, just surprised and
puzzled.
Warm regards
