Re: [orca-list] empathy issues

Hello,
I am sorry I am rather pesimistic about empathy however I will ask anyway.
How do you girls and guys read in the readonly edit fields for example how do you read incoming messages in empathy?
I have tried it and I think I can only read using flat review.
I find it somewhat less confortable. Therefore I am using Thunderbird for my chatting now along with additional protocol extension and while I cant enjoy some advanced chat client like features I can feel avesome accessibility. Also how do you guys handle message history in empathy? I have tried it and I could not read it at all. I have seen the recently received event in the history using flat review and that was all. Another critical feature I think I dont know how to perform with empathy is how to open / copy a link when it is contained in an incoming message. It is easily doable using the keyboard?

I consider these things major for my chatting needs.

Sometime in the past I have submitted a very simple issue to the empathy bugtracker. It is not possible to activate add button in the account setup screen activate using spacebar or enter keys. It is still present after a year of development. So this is why I am so worried.

I dont think hacking empathy at the orca side of things will significantly improve it.

Greetings

Peter

How do I get Empathy to read the contacts list?
The contacts less has a really bizarre accessible hierarchy. I am going
to try to hack around it. But I want to build empathy from master first
just in case it changed yet again.
