Hi.
If you press orca_key+ctrl+space with eclipse in focus, orca activates
preferences for eclipse or for java?
In my machine orca activates preferences for java.
Thanks.

Hello,
Mine says the following in the Help -> About Eclipse SDK:
Eclipse SDK
Version: 4.3.0
Build id: I20130605-2000
Before some 6 or 7 months I have installed eclipse using
pacman -S eclipse
Today I have just performed regular system upgrade by running
pacman -Syu
and I have noticed eclipse got updated. I remembered your discussion and
found it avesome that eclipse is working fine for me.
I don't think this might have something to do with your issue but today
I have also updated a bunch of android development related packages from
the AUR manually e.g. android-sdk, android-sdk-build-tools,
android-sdk-platform-tools, android-platform-18, eclipse-android.
Greetings
Peter

Hi Peter.
Could you please tell me the version of eclipse reported in the about
box?
Mine is:
Eclipse Java EE IDE for Web Developers.
Version: Kepler Release
Build id: 20130614-0229
Which steps did you take to update?
Thanks.

Hello,
Today I have updated eclipse to 4.3-1 on my arch linux machine. I am
running it with openjdk6 6.b27_1.12.3-1 and it is working fine with
orca.
So I believe the issue you were having must have been fixed luckily.
Greetings

When I run eclipse 4.3, Orca does not recognize it as the eclipse.
Orca considers the eclipse as an application called java.
Orca doesn't consider such matters; Orca is being told by Eclipse that
its accessible name is "java." Eclipse should not lie to Orca like
that. ;)
What can I do to solve this problem since eclipse and orca is a vital
tool in my job?
My recommendation is that you use an earlier version of Eclipse and
file
a bug against Eclipse to restore the previous accessible name.
If, however, your job requires that you use Eclipse 4.3, try copying
the
"Eclipse" app script folder to .local/share/orca/orca-scripts and
rename
that copied folder "java" (lowercase j). Hopefully that will make it
possible for you to work while we wait for the Eclipse folks to fix the
bug you file.
Take care.
