Re: [orca-list] Voxin [was "Re: orca-list Digest, Vol 81, Issue 23"]

Hi Jason,

I agree. That is one of the reasons why I switched to free and open
source software solutions like GNU Linux. Rather than pirating
software I can use a low cost solution like Linux and be perfectly
legal as I do so. Fortunately, with the development of NVDA, which I
also use, there is no need to crack or pirate Jaws, Window-Eyes,
Supernova, etc as there are free alternatives to Jaws.

Still I can understand why someone might choose to crack Jaws which
costs $1000.00 where something like Voxin is only $6.00. Jaws is
pretty much not affordable on any VI person's income as most are on
SSI, SSDI, or similar but Voxin is affordable on pretty muchany
income. Not saying pirating either is right, but you can see where
someone might choose to pirate something they could never hope to
afford on their income.

If its wrong to pirate the one, its wrong to pirate all. If jaws is to much,
use NVDA.
