Re: [orca-list] so which is the prefered desktop UI now?

If you're referring to Trisquel, their next release is supposed to be a Precise derivative. Maybe they've changed their mind? If so, I have heard nothing of this, and I monitor that distro closely.

I herd Sonar Linux will have gnome 3.6?
There was another remake of Ubuntu starting with T, it had all exclusive
free software.
I can't remember but some thing which had promised gnome 3.6.

happy hacking.

Hi Krishnakant,

Well, I guess that would depend on distribution and version. For
Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 2D is slightly more accessible than Gnome Shell
3.4.1. However, on Ubuntu 12.10 since Unity 2D is no longer shipping
with Ubuntu Gnome Shell 3.6 is definitely the best way to go. In fact,
I'm pretty impressed with Gnome Shell 3.6 and if you want to know what
is my preference for a desktop U.I. it would be Gnome Shell 3.6 as it
is really the best desktop U.I. for any blind user right now.

        hello all,
Seeing all the discussions off late, I have one question.
Is Gnome shell or Unity 2d?
I am asking this because I see a lot of improvement from Orca side for
Gnome accessibility. for the shell.
happy hacking.
