Hello, JosÃ.
I see the same behavior. Orca does announce windows when using ALT+Tab
and ALT+` (the grav key, located above the tab key). If you do not know
this, you use ALT+Tab to switch between applications, and you use ALT+`
to switch between opened windows of a given application.
Here's a small example. Say that my open windows are as follows:
*One Terminal window
*Two Firefox windows (one opened to DistroWatch.com and the other opened
to Linux Journal's Web site)
*Thunderbird
Say I am in the terminal window, but I want to get to the Firefox window
which displays the Linux Journal Web site. I would use ALT+Tab to switch
to the Firefox application listing, and when there I would use ALT+` to
switch between the different open instances (or windows) of Firefox
until I arrive at the Linux Journal page.
Orca announces things in this scenario, but not when using ALT+Escape. I
actually did not know about the ALT+Escape key combination until you
mentioned it here on the list.
I apologize if the information which I just mentioned was something
which you already knew about.
Take care.

Hi all.
Today I decided to experiment gnome shell in my Ubuntu 12.04, and to
my surprise, I found that the accessibility is excellent.
CONGRATULATIONS!
A small problem is related to the behaviour of the alt+esc key.
If I learned correctly, the alt+esc can b used to switch between windows.
The problem is that orca doesn't announce the name of the window
while cycling between windows using alt+esc. The announce is made only
after I release the alt key. This is not good if I have many windows
opened.
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks.
