Dave,
I was having this issue as well. The way I fixed it was to re-setup Orca
from the terminal. So, from gnome-terminal, press Orca+Q to quit Orca.
Then type "orca -t"
Espeak isn't. the only synthesizer affected by this problem. Voxin is
affected as well. If you have any custom scripts in your Orca folder,
you should not need to reload them.
Thanks,
Jeremy

Howdy, Listers!
Since Orca 3.2.1, when espeak and speech dispatcher are the speech
system, I notice that, when Orca speaks an upper case letter, the pitch
is raised, according to the setting. The only way to return the pitch
to the lower case setting seems to be to cause Orca's settings to be
reloaded. When other applications use speech dispatcher, the pitch is
the one specified in /etc/speech-dispatcher/speechd.conf. Is there a fix?
Cheers,
Dave
