Hello,
I am also interested in this.
I am on ubuntu 12.04 with gwibber 3.4.2 and orca 3.4.2.
I have the following experience:
- the account setup can be made I just need to use the mouse to click
the add... button.
- single column view of a twitter timeline can be read using flat
review, however if there are multiple time lines shown in more than one
columns using flat review is not a viable option.
- I am unable to retweet / repeat an item nor I can reply because I dont
know how to.
- unity pannels integration is working perfect, I can see all the
options in the menu above the empathy related items.
- as the update status window comes up, edit field has the the focus and
I am unable to use tab or shift+tab to navigate in this dialog so I can
toggle the accounts or send the message using standard navigation. I can
only access different items in this dialog by using flat review.
Can you please tell me what should I update to get the experience
similar to what Alex has presented?
I have tried to add gwibber-daily ppa into my system to update to the
latest development gwibber however I can see no update to gwibber in the
software center and apt-get instal gwibber gives me a message saying
gwibber is already the latest version.

thanks and greetings

Hi, Alex
I'm looking at gwibber with unity 2d. I configured twitter, and can
sort-of see incoming and past tweets. I cannot figure how to reply to a
selected tweet. Any ideas? I found "replies" on that messages menu,
but "reply". Maybe things look different when using gnome shell?

All right. A couple of days ago, I reported some small success with
setting up my Twitter and Facebook on Gwibber on my Precise
installation. It was working OK for reading but not for writing if you
take my meaning. Well, turns out Gnome 3 (and I'm sure everyone knew
this but me!) has some menu integration for Gwibber which makes
tweeting and updating your wall real easy. Now, this only works if you
have Gwibber launched. In the message menu, you arrow down past all the
empathy options until you pass Broadcast. You see Update status,
messages reply and private. Update status takes you to a window with an
edit box and some buttons for all the social networks you have set up.
They are perfectly accessible and you can toggle them on and off so that
you either post to only one of your networks or post the same message
simultaneously to all of them. You select the one you want, type in
your message, click send and it's off! Wonderful stuff!
