Re: [orca-list] Trisquel

Thanks for your interest in Trisquel!

Did you get the I18N DVD edition? Did you hear login music?

If you get the I18N edition, orca comes up on start. Otherwise, you have to start it manually, from the 'run' dialogue. If, in any case, you never heard the startup music, then your sound is muted or volume is zeroed out. If you have multi-media keys, try those for raising volume and/or unmuting. In case the virtualization is part of the problem, what happens when you run the Trisquel system as a live DVD image, rather than in a vm?

Cheers,

Dave

Hello. If this is off topic, let me know. I thought I would give Trisquel a try.
I have a Mac Mini with four GB of ram.
So I used vmware fusion and tried to run Trisquel 5.5 from a dvd image.
I heard nothing. Was orca just supposed to start talking?
