hi,
they just need to include the steps after reboot to the wizard before
rebooting. or actually let orca start before they present that. cause
you can do all those steps in ubuntu before rebooting so why not in
fedora too. they just would need to put the create user step before the
reboot. the license dialog can also be put before all that so when you
reboot you just need to log in. that would fix a bunch of accessibility
issues at install time.

Fedora 17 will probably get more accessible on installation if the
firstboot service gets disabled on a separate screen from the main
installation screen before trying to run fedora for the first time. A
command like service firstboot off ought to do that.On Sat, 2 Jun 2012,

Wow, I zoned out after you said NVDA OCR plugin. That was the exciting part
for me. I'm going to go check that out right now. It sounds totally cool!

Hi all,
i was able to install fedora 17. the installation worked quite nicely but
after rebooting the last bit of the wizard where you going to create a
user was not very accessible and it seems its not a place where you can
get orca up and running.
well i did that using my windows machine in a vm and used NVDA's OCR
plugin to read out the screen so i was able to complete the install that
way.
After that it works, the login screen is inaccessible though.
but yeah. it doesn't bring much difference. you also could use ubuntu and
install gnome-shell.
greetings,
simon
