Subject: [orca-list] problem with libreoffice writer when recording changes

I don't think this is an orca problem but before I chase it much
further thought I'd ask here.
When I turn on "record changes" in the changes menu of the libreoffice
writer I no longer see characters I add to a line.
to duplicate this
1) open a new document
2) turn on record changes in the changes submenu of the edit menu
3) enter some text then arrow back over it.
I don't hear the characters spoken, nor does the word get echoed when
I hit space at the end of a word.
4) now hit <end> then <return> then up-arrow. The line is now spoken
but new characters inserted are not noticed.
This seems to happen whenever "record changes" is turned on
independent of whether "show" is turned on or not.

Before I try to isolate this further I'd be grateful if someone else
can verify it, otherwise it's something in my setup. This is running
orca 3.5.3 pre from git and libreoffice 3.5.5.3 under fedora 17.

I've filed a bug at freedesktop.org but no response after a few weeks.
cheers
Peter
