Hello, I'm very pleased to have found this list as I am mostly new to screen readers and absolutely new to orca.
My name is David and i am a teacher of digital literacy, some years ago i met a blind history student and wondered how could he study. Here in Argentina most blind students buy cassettes (magnetic tapes) and with the help of volunteers they record audio versions. The most serious problem is that tapes are used over and over again and all the work done is lost. That's why the thing got my attention, but another problem turned out, in Argentina almost everybody uses windows as os and jaws as a screen reader.
After many years of work we have set up a classroom with computers running free software and orca, but i have now to face the challenge of learning about it in order to be available to teach it.
Any help will be thanked. Greetings, Dave
