Re: [orca-list] orca doesn't read the status bar in gedit

Hey JosÃ.

This bug is filed already:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=667047
"Orca does not always present the status bar for Gtk+ applications (at
least Gedit)"

From the summary text I wrote:
According to Accerciser, in F16 Gedit's status bar has no name, no accessible
text, and no children. More research will be needed to determine exactly where
things broke and then file a bug in the appropriate component. But if Orca
cannot see any information about a widget, it sure as heck cannot present it.

Take care.

Hi all,
I am running ubuntu 11.10 and latest orca built from master.

In gedit orca doesn't read the content of the status bar when i press
capslock+end.
capslock+end is the key sequence configured in my machine to speaks the
status bar.
Thanks.
