For the time being, you may just want to run Windows through a virtual
machine. Then when you need to do school work, you can boot up the VM,
do what needs to be done, and then shut it down. There should be an
option to share files between the Windows guest and the Linux Host so
that your files can be saved both in the VM and on your host system.

If you need to interact with the flash then there's currently not much
you can do.
Currently the Adobe flash plugin is only accessible on the Windows
platform.
You could disable the flash plugin in Firefox. That would at least
stop Orca from not working.
I imagine what's happening is that the flash objects are grabbing the
keyboard focus so that any keypresses you try after you've encountered
the flash object are ineffective.

I have a problem. Our school uses massive amounts of flash on their
website (or the flash they do use) crashes orca in firefox. I have
been trying to figure out a way round this so i can get my
assignments done, but haven't quite figured it out yet. Does anyone
have any ideas on how to fix the problem?
