Hello, Janina.
I am running firefox 10.0.2 here on Ubuntu 11.10, and I still have the
Page Source option available under Tools, Web Developer. I can invoke it
by pressing CTRL+U. Also, I am able to successfully invoke the Inspect
feature as you mentioned. I am unsure of what the differences are
between the versions of Firefox we are running.
I am sorry that I cannot be of much assistance, but it all is present
and working here on my Ubuntu system.

I'm disappointed at the removal of View Source in FF 10. Maybe I'll get
over it if the new tools prove more useful, but at the moment they're
not working for me.
Under "Web Developer Tools" in the Tools menu I see the Inspect option.
It says it's unchecked. I can't seem to check it no matter what I try.
And, it says it's invoked with Shift-Ctrl-I, but that does nothing.
So, is it me?
Meanwhile, back to lynx. At least lynx gives me source.
Janina
