Have you checked the list of available packages? Red Hat's distributions use
Yum and RPM, unlike Debian and its derivatives which are based on Dpkg, so if
you aren't familiar with rpm and the Yum command I would suggest reading some
documentation first.

It's also noteworthy that the enterprise distributions change very slowly in
order to maintain reliability, thus you wont find any recent packages for them
by default.

If you want a Red Hat-style distribution that's more current, you could switch
to Fedora (http://www.fedoraproject.org/).
