Re: [orca-list] Installing gnome and switching from unity to gnome3 in Ubuntu 11.10 and 12.04?

I've got video card issues with Trisquel I think because I get a
hanging system after a few minutes of use ...

I'm running gnome-classic on 12.04, and find that there is no bottom
panel, which should be accessible with a press of 'ctrl+alt+tab'. Maybe
I need another package?

Trisquel does gnome-classic right!

Hi Hank,

Well, from what I've been given to understand Gnome Classic attempts
to get the look and feel of Gnome 2, but the packages appear to be
Gnome 3 libraries and apps. Gnome is current Gnome with using the
Gnome Shell which is totally different. Basically, the difference here
is that Gnome Classic has an apps menu, and Gnome Shell does not.
