Hi,

I'm another for whom lightdm accessibility has never worked, past the 
install.  Maybe it will work when/if I do a clean installation of the 
new 12.04?  This one is the result of an in-place upgrade from 11.10. 
I've done so much compiling, rebuilding, reinstalling, ...  There's 
probably a lot of cruft.  Anyway, the instructions you give for changing 
desktops are spot-on!  I suppose one could take this even further, and 
make a script that takes, as argument, the name of the desktop to use, 
and updates the two configuration files, using sed?
