Hi William,

On the LightDM login screen the sessions button is right next to the 
password entry field. Usually, when you start up you are automatically 
placed on the password field so if you tab once, you will be on the 
sessions button. Just press enter to bring up the sessions menu and down 
arrow twice to select Ubuntu 2D. Press enter on Ubuntu 2D and shift+tab 
back to the password field, type your password, and enter to log into 
Unity 2D.
