I have just filed 2 bugs:

Have you already disabled the option "get focus to current object
while navigating"...or similar; Currently can't figure out how it is
labled in the English version, but you can find the option in Orca's
options dialog for Firefox. Disabling this option is at least a
workaround to stop the focus to jump to top permanently while navigating.
Using Windows is no solution for me. If necessary I will use Safari on
my IPhone until all this is fixed.
