[orca-list] more instalation problems with ubuntu 10.10

Hello listers.
I've decided not to go with ubuntu 11.04 because of the unity desktop so I'm going to use ubuntu 10.10.
The steps I am taking are as follows:
1. Used usb creator to get linux on to a bootable flash drive.
2. plugged the fd in to my netbook
3. selected it in the boot menu and hit enter.
This is where problems start to happen.
I am not presented with a choice to select my language. Therefore, I can not press f5 for the accessibility
menu.
What happens is that the system boots totally and I have to run orca through the alt f2 way. Then I am
presented with a setup which I run through. Finally, orca seems to start but I am not seeing the preferences,
the desktop or anything. Also, the menu accessed with alt f1 is not appearing and or not being spoken.
Any thoughts?
Thanks for any assistance.
Matthew Campbell.
