When you press Ctrl+Alt+Tab, are you hearing anything at all? On my
system, I hear "Bottom panel" and then when pressed again, I hear "Top
Panel" and on around with subsequent presses. Are you not hearing any
of these?
Yes, Ctrl+Alt+d gives me nothing either. I can't seem to get any
answers concerning the desktop in gnome 3. I'm beginning to think
there isn't one anymore.

get it. What could be going wrong? I'm using gnome in 11.04.
