Re: [orca-list] Finding the Desktop in Gnome 3?

I believe they call this "fallback mode" and I wouldn't think it would
be actual gnome 2.32 but just falling back to using the metacity
stuff.

What's interesting is, if you do end up in a fallback mode due to lack of
graphical capabilities on your system, it should put you in 2.32.

One question I have not been able to find the answer to here on this
list nor another one I belong to, While using gnome 3 in fallback
mode, I cannot access the desktop. At this point, I can't tell if
there is one at all or if we just can't access it from the keyboard
anymore. Can anyone more familiar with gnome 3 tell me what the
situation is with finding the desktop? Is it even possible to get to
it with a different keystroke? does one have to configure something
differently or what? Since gnome 3 is on the street as production
ready and my distro has rolled it out, I have no desire nor intention
of downgrading to 2.32 or switching distros to do likewise so I'm in
gnome 3 for good.

I'm asking this so I can file any bug reports appropriately and point
the right finger at the right target so to speak <smile>.
