Hi Justin,
Yes I have orca running under vmware fusion on my mbp.
It works reasonably well using speech dispatcher, alsa and ubuntu.
I am not entirely happy with the latency I am getting from alsa although
I must say that speech dispatcher is a lot better than the viavoice
emacspeak driver which appears not to work well at all (this is with
emacspeak and not orca I must add).
Hope this helps somewhat.
Bart
HI all,
Has anybody had any experience using orca with any distro of linux installed on a macbook pro, or ran under
a virtual machine? If so how do you accomplish this?
Thanks,
Justin
