Hello List,
I am using Ubuntu Lucid and Orca 2.32.0 pre.
In OpenOffice Calc I use several sheets and each sheet has his own name.
With ctrl + pagedown or page up I navigate between the sheets.
Is there a way that Orca can speak the name of the sheet?
How can I get this done if it is maybe a matter of the Orca settings?

The best you can do for now is press the Orca+KP_Enter key combination
twice in rapid succession. This will read the status line and the
status line contains the sheet name. In a default spreadsheet, you
should hear "Sheet 1" or "Sheet 2" or "Sheet 3" depending on which
sheet you're in at the moment. When you press the Ctrl+pgup or
Ctrl+pgdn, that entry will change as you mentioned in your post. You
can use the flat review keys to see the sheet name two but
unfortunately, the current design of flat review keeps that area from
being updated in Orca until you go out of flat review and back in. So
reading the status line with the hot key is your best option for now.

I would like to add a feature that will cause any text that
dynamically changes in the status bar to be spoken on a text change so
if you change sheets like this, it would automatically be spoken; I'd
like to do a similar thing to Writer so you can get this sort of thing
when you change from one page to the next in a document This idea of
mine should also cause changes in the insert/overwrite status to speak
automatically when the key is pressed.

This is on my todo list.
