Hi,
Aggreed. Also, if/when a Windows screen reader compatability layout is
created, I would like to suggest that we have an NVDA layout only. That
way we stick with the open source community and NVDA is the only Windows
screen reader that is worth a crap anyway.
Thanks

That's the HTML Object Navigator patch I have attached to bug #620331.
But my patch adds only one list (treeview) that includes all 3 element
types.

Should I split this into 3 different lists like in JAWS? One for
headings, one for links and one for form fields.

No! Just because Jaws does it some way, it doesn't mean we need to. I
personally haven't tried your patch out yet but I can't see why this
can't be in a single object. I never used Jaws before so couldn't
give a rat's ass how they do things over there.

I have installed NVDA in Windows in had a look on it. I don't like its
list. You have first to open the window, select what should be listed
with radio buttons and then you can select an entry.

In JAWS you select what you want with JAWS+F5 (form fields), JAWS+F6
(links) or JAWS+F7 (headings) and then you can select an entry. That is
easier and clearer than the version of NVDA.

I really don't know what's better to use. Three different lists, or a
single list with 'sections'.

I could split the current list into four. All item, links, form fields
and headings. But, is this really necessary?
