Hi Jose,
Orca is doing great on my machine with Ubuntu Lucid.
For example try:
cell A1 name, B1 age, C1 phone
cell A2 John, B2 33, C2 123
in cell A1 press orca+c
move to B2 then Orca will say John 33
in C2 Orca will say John 123
